  1. Hello. I am the owner of FYI Fitness ( fitness for young individuals) located in Apex. We offer specialized small group fitness classes for kids ages 10-16. We have run quite a few fitness workshops for intramural sports teams. We do not require any kind of membership. We offer packages so parents only have to pay for classes when it fits into their child’s schedule. We work with kids during their sports season as well as on their off season so they can continue to maintain their physical fitness. We also over package deals for teams who would like to work out together. Those packages are not listed on our website but can be customized depending on the amount of participants. We really enjoy working with kids and helping them on their fitness journey. More information can be found on our website http://www.fyifitness.com or you can contact us at 919-390-3300. We can also be found on Facebook

We are looking for cross country for our 13 year old daughter in the Moore County area. Is there such a thing for homeschiolers? Thank you.

    • Merit Kirkpatrick says:

Hi Dana – there are sports teams for homeschoolers, but I don’t have any specifics for Moore County. You might want to check here for a county nearby that has Cross Country: http://ncheac.com/site/ClientSite/article/40508 Hope you find a team, if not, why not start one? Let me know if you do & I will help you publicize it!

Hi! I am the athletic director for High Point Home Educator Eagles. Could you please add our organization to the sports link list on the home page? We are located in the middle of Guilford, Davidson, and Randolph counties. We compete in Cross Country, Volleyball, Boys Soccer, and Boys/Girls Basketball. We are always looking at adding more sports to our competitive program. Our athletes train and compete to do their best while honoring our Lord Jesus Christ. Each family is highly involved and we look forward to adding more families to our organization. Go Eagles!

Cabarrus Stallions football is a competitive 11 man High School and Junior High football program which draws homeschool, private school, and public school students ages 12 to 18 from Cabarrus, Rowan, Stanly, Mecklenburg, Union and Davidson counties. The Stallions are fierce competitors and their success is based on the hard work and dedication of parents, players, coaches, and community. It is truly a team effort. To be a Cabarrus Stallion is to be a part of a team that works together and stays together. Outside of his family, church family, and teammates, a Stallion’s biggest fans are former Stallion players. A Stallion has a full high school football experience. Homecoming, night games, souvenir programs, halftime events, concessions, crazy fans..it’s all a part of a Stallions season. Come see what the excitement’s about! See the blog posting here on NC Homeschool-ology and learn how to contact the Cabarrus Stallions.

Thanks so much Natalie- I removed your links from the comment so that WP wouldn’t flag it as spam and I posted your article as a blog posting with all the contact info. What a great advertisement for the team 🙂 They are blessed to have such an enthusiastic supporter!
