Running Start Homeschool Fitness

Running Start Homeschool Fitness program will meet at Lawndale Baptist Church, 3505 Lawndale Drive in Greensboro, NC 27408, beginning Monday, August 14. This P.E. program is for homeschooled students in grades 1-5.
This is a program for kids of all fitness levels. It is designed to get kids moving and promote health and wellness. Participation helps kids build their self-esteem, and learn to make and reach personal goals. Over the course of the program, children in Running Start will use a variety of activities and games to set goals to run and/or walk a certain distance, practice drills, and do strength training to become a better athlete.
Classes will meet every Monday from 1-2 p.m. for a total of 24 classes.

Coaching Staff
Coaches, Emily Boles and Rebekah Johnson currently co-coach the Greensboro Gladiators Homeschool Cross Country Team for Middle & High School.
Emily has an undergraduate degree in nutrition and a Masters degree in sports studies as well as being USATF certified level 1 and was a Division 1 collegiate athlete.
Rebekah has worked with children in a variety of settings. She has her undergraduate in psychology and has been an active runner for ten years. She currently homeschools.
Registration
Costs include a $15 per family registration fee payable to Lawndale Baptist Church and a non-refundable class fee of $100 per child.
