Forsyth County Library Card Holders
In celebration of Reynolda’s centennial year and in honor of the American Library Association’s Library Card Sign-up Month, you can visit the lovely Reynolda House free.
One hundred years ago this year, in December 1917, Katharine Smith Reynolds and her husband, Richard Joshua (R.J.) Reynolds moved into their newly finished estate at 2250 Reynolda Road, a few miles from downtown Winston-Salem North Carolina which as headquarters of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.
Fifty years later, the restored mansion opened to the public as a museum dedicated to displaying and educating about American art.

Living Modern Exhibit
Through November 19th, Reynolda House is hosting the “Georgia O’Keefe: Living Modern,” exhibition which recently broke attendance records at the museum.
It is highly recommended that you reserve tickets but residents who present the library pass will be granted admission. The museum encourages residents to check the Reynolda House Website for further information on current exhibitions and hours.
How to Obtain Free Admission
Free Admission Begins Monday, September 25, 2017!
Reynolda is partnering with Forsyth County Public Library in Winston-Salem, NC and passes will be available for all those who hold a valid Forsyth County library card to receive their free adult admission.
When you visit your Forsyth county library, check out a “pass” for free admission with your library card. Each pass is good for general admission for two adults for a seven-day period.
Children and student admission to Reynolda House is free.

The passes may be checked out for seven days at a time, and you can use them during regular museum hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Thursdays from 9:30 a.m.- 8 p.m., and Sundays 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.
If you are a North Carolina homeschooler, you will want to make a visit to Reynolda House a part of your homeschool Fine Arts studies this year. And if you are a homeschooler in Forsyth County, be sure to sign up for a library card (although I am a little shocked if you don’t have one already) and then check out your pass for admittance – free!
This has always been one of our family’s favorite field trips because their exhibits, the house, gardens and activities are always amazing and educational.
