You may feel like you are in the minority, and sometimes it is hard to find a group or resources that fit your family’s needs, because so often, the groups and resources that are publicized are those with a religious component.

HEArts is a Wilmington, NC based online NEWS group available for use by homeschoolers or those considering it. We are a fully inclusive homeschool NEWS group that embraces diversity. Halifax County Homeschoolers (HCH) is an inclusive support group for homeschooling families in the Scotland Neck, NC and Halifax County areas. Halifax County Homeschoolers is a community whose members offer support, information, and encouragement to each other and to those interested in homeschooling. HCH works to connect members with different homeschool philosophies through park days, field trips, and other activities.
HOPE in the Sandhills is for homeschooling parents and their children who want to Help Others Prioritize Education (HOPE) in their homes. We are a secular home school support group for families who are ***currently home schooling at least one child in elementary school level or above***. We currently do not require fees, but we do ask that you are an ACTIVE participant in our group. The purpose of our group is to exchange relevant information, answer questions, support one another, take field trips, enjoy fun events together, meet for activities, and make lasting friendships. We ask that you come prepared to step out of your shell and enjoy yourselves within our home school community. We also have a Cooperative that meets weekly during the school year and a High School group. We would love to have you. This group is for secular homeschooling families with children in K - 5th grade (siblings outside of this age range are welcome.) This is an open social group based from the North Charlotte Secular Homeschool Co-op. North Wake Teen Homeschoolers is a secular support group for families with homeschoolers of middle and high school aged children (ages 11 and up) in Northern Wake County, North Carolina and the surrounding areas.
