North Carolina Homeschool PE Classes
The importance of Physical Education in our homeschools shouldn’t be overlooked. We all know there are benefits to physical activity on a regular basis including; physical fitness, emotional well-being, and mental acuity.
Many studies found that 30-60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity throughout the day had the greatest impact on health.
Home schools can allow more time for kids to run, play, bike, and hike outdoors. There are more ways than ever to be sure they are involved in sports or have time for free play at parks or other recreational centers.
Sometimes it can be difficult to find activities that fit our schedule as home educators, so I thought I would get us started with a PE Round-up for NC.
It includes all types of activities and PE classes; some structured and some free play oriented.
Be sure to let me know if this helped you!
Also, please leave me a note about other great programs like these so I can let other homeschoolers know about them.
Many of the groups and facilities organizing these activities mentioned that they need a minimum number of participants in order to keep things going.
The more people who know about these activities, the more families can take part in them. I hope that we will continue to see even more home education options.
And more options equals better home education in North Carolina, for all of us!

Maybe you found something that is perfect for your family, or are feeling inspired to contact someone in your area and ask them about setting something up for homeschool PE.
If you have a facility and have thought about offering homeschoolers activities, please consider it. It is convenient for home educators to schedule activities during the day and it helps facility owners by giving them some additional income during hours when their facility might currently be unused.
If you are offering PE or other activities to homeschoolers – thank you.
We appreciate that you are sharing your talents and experience with our children!
Please use the contact form below if you want to let me know about an activity or event in your area. I would be glad to list it on the website and/or highlight it here.
