The Piedmont Region Science Fair

The registration deadline for the Piedmont Science Fair is January 24.

The science fair is open to homeschoolers.

The annual Piedmont Science Fair for Non-Public Schools is scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2017, at High Point University.

Students advancing to the Region V fair must reside in one of the counties that make up our region: Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Davidson, Forsyth, Guilford, Orange, Person, Randolph, Rockingham, and Stokes.

Students not living in these counties must check with the Regional Fair Director in their county regarding participation in their Regional fair.

The top three projects in the Elementary Division and the  first place winners in each category of the Junior and Senior Divisions are eligible to advance to the Region V Science Fair on Saturday, February 11, in Greensboro.

2017 NC Science & Engineering Fair Information

The 2017 North Carolina Science and Engineering Fair will be March 24-25, 2017 at Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Students whose research projects have been selected by the nine regional science and engineering fairs in North Carolina to attend the state level North Carolina Science and Engineering Fair!

Home school students are welcome to participate in science fairs in North Carolina!

In order to qualify for the State Science Fair of North Carolina, all students must first be nominated from a North Carolina Regional Science Fair (9 regions).

Local home school organizations should have their own science fair and select students to continue on to their Regional Science Fair. Contact your Regional Director to determine how many students can enter from your local fair. Information on the Regions and the directors can be found at their WEBSITE HERE.

Homeschool parents are also welcome to attend NC Science and Engineering Fair teacher workshops.

All students from public, private, and home school fairs must comply with the ISEF rules and regulations to insure that their work has been done safely and with supervision.
